Aug 16, 2019 3:10pm EST | Museum of Photographic Arts presents Zen of Photography: Brett Watson in Japan
About this event:
Photography changes everything. The simplest of details, once photographed, can evoke emotions and reveal to us new ways of seeing the world. Throughout the 20th century, the photographer Brett Weston embraced this aspect of photography to create stunning black and white images with a keen eye for composition. Join us for a look at images from the artist’s journey to Japan in the 1950’s which was influential to his work as an artist. This talk will feature a look behind the scenes at MOPA to view the collection vault where over 50 original photographs by the artist are stored.
