Together with the St. Louis Cathedral and St. Mary’s Church, The Old Ursuline Convent Museum forms the Catholic Cultural Heritage Center of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.Today’s program will be broadcast from the museum which is the oldest building in the Mississippi Valley and is located in the historic French Quarter and will focus on the current exhibit celebrating the foundation of the city of New Orleans. We’ll tell the story of the St. Louis Cathedral from its beginnings as a small wooden church, to its present day iconic edifice, exploring the rich history of the Catholic Church’s three centuries in the Crescent City.
